How to install Zoom on Ubuntu

In this article, we will see how to install Zoom on Ubuntu.

If you work from home or hold meetings with other people remotely, then you have probably heard of Zoom. It is one of the popular video conferencing software app available today.

In this tutorial, we will install Zoom client application on Ubuntu 20.04 using snap packages. So, we must have to install Snapd service on our system.

1. Run the following commands to install Snapd service on our system:

sudo apt update sudo apt install snapd

Press Y to install.

2. Zoom client is available as snap packages. In the above step we have installed Snapd service on our system. Now, our Ubuntu system is ready to install Zoom client.

Run the following command to to install zoom client on our Ubuntu 20.04 system:

sudo snap install zoom-client

Now access Zoom application

3. Go show applications on Ubuntu desktop and search for zoom.

4. Click on Zoom image to launch zoom application.

Now, we can join or login to create meeting id.
